Every number below is published on purpose. You should not have to fill in a form to find out whether I am even in your budget. What you see is what I quote.
Prices are benchmarked against published Austin packages and 2025 to 2026 cost reports. Every source is named next to the figure it supports, and the full working is in the journal.
Austin has plenty of DJs who tagged themselves house to catch the filter. I am a club DJ first, and I have done the unglamorous work of learning the wedding side properly: the timeline, the mics, the run of show. That is a different product and this is what it costs.
Barton
Right for you if the ceremony is handled and you want the reception to feel like a good bar rather than a school dance.
Zilker
Right for you if you want one person carrying the sound from the first vow to the last record, and a floor that is still full at midnight.
Rainey
Right for you if the wedding is a weekend, not an evening, and you want the afterparty to be the part people talk about.
In every wedding booking
Professional sound / wireless handheld for toasts / announcements and timeline execution / a planning document you can actually edit / a do-not-play list I will respect / dance floor lighting / full backup gear on site / setup, breakdown and travel inside 50 miles / one named DJ, and it is me.
The math, since you asked
The average Austin wedding runs about $32,400 and the typical DJ line item is around $1,630. The Zilker package is under 8 percent of that budget, for the thing every single guest experiences for six straight hours.
Both figures from Pix Wedding, Austin wedding cost 2026. The ladder above is benchmarked against published Austin packages from Austin's Best DJs and U7, the Austin EDM and house listings on Zola, and the 2025 national and Southwest figures from The Knot. Same sources, worked through, in the journal.
Why I point most people at Zilker
The step up from Barton is $800. Priced off my own add-on table it is worth $1,500: two extra hours at $275 each, the ceremony system at $400, twelve uplights at $350 and a custom edit at $200.
I am telling you this because you would work it out anyway, and because I would rather you book the right one than the cheap one.
Off-peak dates in January and February, and any Friday or Sunday, come off list price by $250. Peak Saturdays in October, November, March through May book first and hold at list.
EVERY GUEST HEARS THE DJ · FOR SIX STRAIGHT HOURS · NOBODY CAN OPT OUT OF THE SOUND
Your real fear is not the music. It is the CEO picking up a mic that cuts out in front of three hundred people. I plan for that first and the party second, and the party still happens.
Congress
Right for you if you need a room that sounds intentional for a happy hour, a mixer or a client reception.
Red River
Right for you if there are speeches, awards or a program to hit and the party still has to land afterwards.
Sixth
Right for you if this is a launch, a brand build or a night the marketing team will be judged on.

Your AV team will like me
I coordinate load-in, power and frequencies with the venue directly, and I arrive early enough to solve problems before the room fills.
SXSW and multi-day
Quoted separately. That market runs on lead time and load-in logistics, not a price list. Send me the brief and the dates.
01 / Bars, clubs, residencies
Weeknights, weekends, weekly residencies and guest slots. Three to four hours on house gear, or I bring mine. I do not publish club rates because the night, the room and the slot change the number, and because a Thursday and a Saturday are not the same job.
Tell me the night, the room and the slot. You will have a number the same day.
02 / Ticketed shows, festivals, brand parties
Opening sets, features, festival undercards and brand nights. Out of market shows are quoted with travel. If there is a door split on the table, say so and we will talk about it properly.
Tell me the date, the room and the lineup and I will tell you what I would do with the slot.

Photo booths, cold sparks, dry ice and full staging are subrented from Austin production companies. I will source them, quote them at their rate and manage the booking. I would rather bring in a specialist than own a fog machine that fails with my name on it.
01
Date, venue, headcount, and roughly what you want the night to feel like. If I am open you hear back inside a day.
02
Agreement and a 35 percent retainer. That is what makes a hold real. Balance is due fourteen days out.
03
Planning doc, music call, walkthrough where it applies, run of show with your coordinator. Then I show up early and you stop thinking about it.
I run it. Grand entrance, first dance, parent dances, toasts, cake, bouquet, last song. I build the run of show with you or your coordinator before the day, and I hold a wireless mic so the toasts are audible at the back of the room.
A club DJ who cannot do this part is a liability at a wedding. I would rather over-prepare the unglamorous half so the fun half is actually fun.
Both things are true and neither has to lose. Dinner and cocktail hour are where the requests live, and I will play them properly rather than grudgingly. Once the older half of the room drifts, the floor is mine and the night turns into the one you actually booked me for.
Send me a do-not-play list too. I will respect it.
Deep house is warm, groovy and mid-tempo. It works at a dinner table without anyone calling it background music. Tech house is the tighter, punchier version that fills a floor after nine.
Together they give you a wedding that feels like a good bar rather than a school dance. If you want a night that reads as a party and not a reception, this is the sound.
Most of the market sits between $1,200 and $3,500. Small receptions start around $995 to $1,495, a 75 to 150 guest wedding with ceremony sound and uplighting typically lands between $1,800 and $2,500, and full production for 150 plus runs $2,500 to $3,900. Above $4,000 you are mostly paying for a name.
My packages run $1,650 to $3,650, which puts me in the upper middle of that market. This piece walks through every figure and names the source next to it.
Sound is included in every package, sized to the room and the headcount. Dance floor lighting is included. Uplighting in your colors is included from the Zilker package up, and is an add-on below that.
If your venue has a house system I will use it when it is good enough and bring mine when it is not. I will tell you which before the day, not on it.
Redundancy is part of what you are booking, not a bonus. What I bring to the date: a second controller, a spare mic, backup cables, and the set on two drives plus offline. Nobody in the room should ever know something failed.
Yes. Corporate bookings are a flat rate, invoiced, with a W-9 and a certificate of insurance provided on request. Net 30 is available with a signed agreement and a deposit.
Most Austin venues will not let a DJ load in without a COI. Ask every DJ you are considering for one. It filters the list fast.
Nine to twelve months for a wedding, and closer to eighteen if you want a peak Saturday in October, November, or March through May. Corporate and private events are usually four to eight weeks. Bar and club dates I will often take on a week or two of notice if the night is right.
Travel inside 50 miles of central Austin is included. Fifty to a hundred miles is $175, and past that or a Hill Country destination is $300. Anything requiring an overnight, tell me the date and I will quote it straight.
Send me the date through the form or a direct message. If I am open I will confirm within a day, send an agreement, and hold it on a 35 percent retainer. The balance is due fourteen days before. The retainer is non-refundable, which is standard in this market and is the only reason a hold means anything.
